Operations
Talison has a strong presence in the tantalum global market and has supplied more than 50% of global demand. Wodgina and Greenbushes are the world's largest tantalum mines, featuring 'state of the art' processing facilities. The size, reliability and stability of these operations make Talison the most dependable long-term source of tantalum worldwide. Overall production capacity is in excess of 2.3 million pounds of Ta2O5 per annum.
Talison offers a range of tantalum concentrates to secondary processors, who then distribute their tantalum metal products to fabricators. Tantalum's unique electrical and anti-corrosion characteristics make it critical, often irreplaceable, for a variety of uses in the electronics, aerospace, industrial processing and medical industries.
Talison's location in Australia makes it the most dependable global supplier. Other major tantalum resources are located in politically unstable regions where both pricing and supply can be volatile.
